Slow Food's new initiative is Terra Madre: a world meeting of food communities. Terra Madre conference (October 2630, Turin, Italy) is a biannual meeting of 5,000 small-enterprise food producers from around the world who grow, create, distribute, and promote food in ways that respect the environment and protect the health of consumers. Proceeds will be donated to Terra Madre delegates.
