A solid LBV at a good price. Great depth of colour; sweet mulberry and dark chocolate nose; rich, sweet and full on the palate, nicely structured with mellow mouth feel. ****

Marques de Riscal Rueda 2005 (Spain)

If you like Sauvignon Blanc, you'll like this wine for the price. Made from Verdejo grapes with 15% Viura. Medium straw with a green tint; vegetal nose with flavours of guava, peach and cut grass. Lovely balance of fruit and acidity with a citrus finish. Great value. ***½

Dense ruby purple colour; spicy, cedar and sweet blackberry nose; medium-bodied, easy drinking, jammy blackberry flavour with lively acidity. ***½
