Heathfield Ridge Wonambi Shiraz 2003
I seem to spend a lot of time reviewing Australian Shiraz in this spot. Could be because consumers love this style of wine. After all, you've made Yellow Tail Shiraz the best selling red at the LCBO. But I'd like to direct your attention to Heathfield Ridge Wonambi Shiraz 2003. It has a deep ruby colour with a nose of plums and spicy oak. It's medium to full-bodied, with well-extracted mulberry-flavoured fruit with lively acidity. It costs $11.95 a bottle. A good wine for hearty red meat dishes. That's Heathfield Ridge Wonambi Shiraz 2003 from Australia. For post City Magazines, I'm Tony Aspler.($11.95, LCBO #599100)

Out of Africa Tetrapak Shiraz
When you see the term organic wine on a label, you have a read closely to see if it was organically grown without recourse to chemical fertilizers or pesticides and if was organically made in the cellar with minimal use of sulphur. A wine in tetrapak that is both organically grown and organically made is the litre tetrapak Out of Africa Shiraz 2004. This South African Shiraz has a bouquet of blackberries and white pepper; it's medium-bodied with a dry, red berry flavour and firm structure. It costs $12.95 for the litre pack. It's an easy-drinking hamburger-and-pizza wine. That's Heathfield Ridge Wonambi Shiraz 2003 from South Africa. For Post City Magazines, I'm Tony Aspler. ($12.95, LCBO 613877)
