Montréal Wine and Spirits Show 2008
An absolute must for aficionados, connoisseurs, collectors and professionals, the 8th Montréal Wine and Spirits Show (Salon des Vins et Spiritueux de Montréal) is scheduled to take place at Palais des Congrès de Montréal from March 27th to 30th, 2008.
Organized every two years by Association québécoise des agences de vins, bières et spiritueux (AQAVBS) in cooperation with principal partner Société des Alcools du Québec (SAQ), the Show ranks as the largest of its kind in Canada, having attracted some 18 200 visitors in 2006.
The 2008 version of the Show is ripe with the promise of discovery! Some 230 producers, vintners, distillers and brewers from 30 countries will be presenting some 1500 products, several hundred of which will be available only during the Show. Visitors will also enjoy an extensive selection of tasting and storage accessories, as well as assorted gourmet fare.
A visit to the Montréal Wine and Spirits Show is a journey into the fascinating world of wine and spirits production. Visitors will delight in this unique opportunity to discover a wide range of exclusive wines and spirits, make contact with vintners, distillers and brewers, and attend any number of free conferences being organized by producers. Visitors will further appreciate the occasion to taste-test and purchase wines and spirits from around the world, including a vast selection of specialty products and private imports.
Admission, restricted to persons 18 years of age and over, is $15 and includes an expert tasting wine tasting glass and official show guide. Sessions reserved for licensees
Hoteliers, restaurateurs and 4-day passport holders will be able to meet and exchange with exhibitors and producers in a professional environment during the two sessions reserved especially for them, namely Thursday, March 27th from 12:00 to 16:00 and Friday, March 28th from 12:00 to 14:00.
