Vineland Estates Dry Riesling 2007
The 2007 vintage in Ontario is without question the best in living memory. And since those Ontario wines before living memory were pretty ghastly, this makes 2007 the best vintage ever. The whites are now coming on the market and they're really good, especially the Rieslings. Try Vineland Estates Dry Riesling 2007. Pale straw in colour with a lime tinge, the bouquet is minerally, citrus that opens on the palate to rich grapefruit and nectarine flavours with a slight spritzy sensation on the tongue. Beautifully balanced and great value at $13.95. Try it with grilled fish. That's Vineland Estates Dry Riesling 2007 from Ontario. For Post City Magazines, I'm Tony Aspler. ($13.95, LCBO #167551)

Mondavi Woodbridge Pinot Grigio 2007
If you've been following my wine reviews here on 680News you'll know I'm not a great fan of Pinot Grigio. Most of them I find insipid but here's one that has lots of flavour for the price. Mondavi Woodbridge Pinot Grigio 2007 from California. It's light straw in colour with a nose of white peach and citrus peel – flavours that come through on the palate. It's medium-bodied, fresh and lively and well priced at $10.95 a bottle. Match it with Caesar salad or BBQ shrimp. That's Mondavi Woodbridge Pinot Grigio 2007 from California. You can read this review at 680News.com by clicking on my link. For Post City Magazines, I'm Tony Aspler. ($10.95, LCBO #523431)
