  • Finca Flichman Misterio Malbec 2007

Château Pey La Tour 2006 (Bordeaux)
$14.95, LCBO #264986
A very stylish claret for the price. Deep ruby in colour with a nose of red berries and forest floor; medium-bodied with well extracted sweet fruit with an earthy, cedar note. ****
Food match: roast lamb; aged cheddar

Creekside Pinot Grigio 2007 (Ontario)
$13.95 (LCBO #83196)
Lots of flavour here with lively peach and citrus tones. Medium straw colour, dry and medium-bodied. More tasty than most Grigios in this price range. ***½
Food match: grilled salmon; Brie

Finca Flichman Misterio Malbec 2007 (Argentina)
$7.95 (LCBO #28803)
There's oak and black fruits on the nose and a medium-bodied, savoury black cherry taste with cedar and vanilla notes. Somewhat rustic in style, but who can argue with the price? ***½
Food match: burgers; pizza
