note; spicy and rich on the palate with toasty, nutty, clove flavours.

Deep straw colour; a nose redolent of vanilla oak and sweet apple and
pear aromas; full on the palate with a touch of spice and a lively spine
of acidity. Food match: veal casserole, chicken Marengo.
Simonsig Pinotage 2000 (South Africa)
If you like Rhône wines, you’ll love this for the price. Dense
purple-ruby colour; a nose of smoke, tar, wet earth and blackberry; medium-bodied
with an intense, sweet jammy blackberry with a smoky, iodine edge. Good
acidity. Food match: venison, pepper steak.
