Syrah 80%, Grenache 20%. Dense purple colour; smoky, black olive, medicinal nose; full-bodied black cherry flavour with a savoury, dry finish. ****

Chakana Bonarda 2007 (Argentina)

Under-appreciated grape from the Mendoza Valley. Dense purple-black colour with a nose of mulberries, spice and leather; sweet and fruity on the palate with a chocolate flavour and a floral accent. Good value. ****

A ripe, easy drinking Chardonnay at a great price. Medium straw colour; sweet apple and pineapple nose; full on the palate with a fine thread of acidity running through it. Green pineapple flavour with a nutty finish. ****
