Cousiño-Macul Antiguas Reservas Cabernet Sauvignon 2007
Chilean reds are, for the most part, table ready. You buy them, take them home and open them for dinner.  But there's one Chilean wine that I like to age for a couple of years and it comes across like a red Bordeaux. It's Cousiño-Macul Antiguas Reservas Cabernet Sauvignon. The current vintage at the LCBO is 2007.  The wine is deep ruby in colour with a characteristic bouquet of blackcurrant and cedar. It's medium-bodied showing sweet blackcurrant fruit with a mocha note and soft, pliant tannins. Great value at $15.95. You can drink it now but it'll develop well with a couple of years in bottle. That's Cousiño-Macul Antiguas Reservas Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 from Chile. Serve it with lamb chops. For Post City Magazines, I'm Tony Aspler. $15.45 (LCBO #212993)

J. Portugal Ramos Loios White 2007
If you're looking for a delicious white wine for the summer at a bargain price, I've got just the wine for you. It comes from Portugal's Alentej region. It's Joao Portugal Ramos Loios White 2007. It has a pale straw colour with a nose of limes and peaches, it's medium-bodied, fresh with a crisp, honeydew melon flavour. It costs... wait for it... $9.95 a bottle. Good with chicken salad or grilled trout. That's Joao Portugal Ramos Loios White 2007. Loios is spelled L.O.I.O.S. If you missed any of my wine recommendations you can find them by going to 680News.com and clicking on my link. For Post City Magazines, I'm Tony Aspler. ($9.95, LCBO #92114)
