Liberty School Cabernet Sauvignon 2007
The LCBO has a portfolio of wines call Vintages Essentials. This means that these wines should, technically, always be available at the major Vintages outlets. One such wine is Liberty School Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 from Paso Robles in California. This is a really tasty wine, well priced for a California Cab at $18.95. The nose is sweet blackberries with a note of leather; the flavours of black fruits and mocha fill the mouth, finishing dry and savoury. Great with rack of lamb. That's Liberty School Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 from California at Vintages outlets. For Post City Magazines, I'm Tony Aspler ($14.95, Vintages #738823)

Concha Y Toro Trio Reserva Chardonnay/Pinot Grigio/Pinot Blanc 2008
Just released at Vintages is a white wine of amazing quality for the price. It's made by Chilean winemaker Ignacio Recabarren. Concha Y Toro Trio Reserva 2008 is a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and Pinot Blanc. On the nose it's spicy peach with mineral notes. The flavour is a mouth-filling explosion of peach, apple and citrus, beautifully balanced – and all of this for $12.95 at Vintages. Don't miss it, it's a gem. That's Concha Y Toro Trio Reserva Chardonnay/Pinot Grigio/Pinot Blanc 2008 from Chile. Try it with grilled fish or Caesar Salad. For Post City Magazines, I'm Tony Aspler. ($12.95, Vintages #433938)
