Fuzion Organic Malbec Cabernet 2007
If you're a wine buyer you can't have escaped the Fuzion frenzy – that Argentinean blend of Shiraz and Malbec that sells for $7.45. So popular has this brand become that the LCBO has listed six more Fuzion wines. A step up in quality – and price – is Fuzion Malbec Cabernet 2009, made from organically grown grapes. Deeply coloured with a fruity blackcurrant and blackberry nose, the wine is medium to full-bodied with sweet fruit and soft tannins. It costs $12.95 a bottle. Serve it with hearty winter stews or mature cheddar. That's Fuzion Organic Malbec Cabernet 2007 from Argentina. For Post City Magazines, I'm Tony Aspler. ($12.95, LCBO #127456)

Thelema Sutherland Chardonnay 2007
If you like white Burgundy but balk at the price of the good stuff, try this Chardonnay from South Africa. Thelema Sutherland Chardonnay 2007 is straw coloured with green highlights. The wine smells like a fine Burgundy with minerally, apple and barnyard notes. The taste is of fresh apples and grilled nuts. It's full on the palate with great length and balance. It costs $19.95 at Vintages. Try it with roast chicken or grilled tuna. That's Thelema Sutherland Chardonnay 2007 from Elgin in South Africa, available at Vintages outlets. For Post City Magazines, I'm Tony Aspler. ($19.95, Vintages #146423)
