Masi Campofiorin 1999 (Veneto, Italy)
$15.95
The latest vintage of this popular blend of Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara is dense ruby in colour with an intriguing bouquet of chestnuts, dried fruits and earth. On the palate you discover a full-bodied, well-balanced wine with sweet, mocha, plum and cherry flavours and soft tannins.
Food match: pasta with rich tomato-based sauce; Parmigiano cheese

Lindemans Reserve Shiraz 2001 (Australia)
$13.95
Dense purple colour; a very expressive nose of blackberries and vanilla with a medicinal note characteristic of this variety; richly extracted, full-bodied toothsome fruit thatís firmly structured and lingers on the palate with a lovely floral note. A bargain at the price.
Food match: game dishes, blue cheeses

Wynns Coonawarra Estate Chardonnay 2001 (Australia)
$16.95
Straw colour with a lifted nose of ripe peaches and vanilla; full-bodied with nicely balanced oak. The peachy quality on the nose follows through on the palate with a note of fresh orange that adds the right amount of acidity to carry the flavour. A full-bodied, well-made wine.
Food match: pork with coriander, crab cakes.
