Cooralook Pinot Gris 2008
A drier than normal spring in Southern Victoria, Australia,  meant good ripeness in the grapes at harvest time and a resulting fullness of flavour. Cooralook Pinot Gris 2008 is a good example. Straw-coloured with a nose of peach pits and minerals, this wine has a dry, peach and pear flavour. The mid palate is full with a lovely mouth feel and a clean, crisp finish. A delicious wine for $14.95. It works well with roast chicken or with camembert cheese. That's Cooralook Pinot Gris 2008 from Australia. For Post City Magazines, I'm Tony Aspler, 680News and 680News.com. ($14.95, LCBO #212712)

Dr. Hermann Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Spätlese 2006
If I give 90 points or above to a wine at a tasting that means it's really good. I gave 90 points to a Riesling from the Mosel that's just been released at Vintages. Dr. Hermann Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Spätlese 2006. The wine is straw coloured with a hint of lime; the bouquet is minerally, honey and floral with a petrol note; it offers sweet and tart flavours of peach, honey and tangerine acidity; lovely mouth feel and great balance. It costs $22.95 at Vintages and is worth every penny. Try it with pork loin. That's Dr. Hermann Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Spätlese 2006 from Germany at Vintages outlets. For Post City Magazines, I'm Tony Aspler, 680News and 680News.com. ($22.95, Vintages #197178)
