Mooiplaas The Bean Coffee Pinotage 2010
You don't often find a wine that's named after its flavour descriptor, but Mooiplaas The Bean Coffee Pinotage 2010 from Stellenbosch in South Africa actually tastes like coffee beans. Not only coffee beans but chocolate, smoky, tarry oak and plums. Almost a meal in itself. It costs $13.95 at vintages outlets and if you BBQ through the winter this would work just fine with red meats. That's Mooiplaas The Bean Coffee Pinotage 2010 from South Africa at Vintages. For Post City Magazines, I'm Tony Aspler, 680News and 680News.com. ($13.95, Vintages #251165)

Valiano Poggio Teo Chianti Classico 2006
How can you resist a wine that sounds like poetry in a glass: Castelnuovo Berardenga Valiano Poggio Teo Chianti Classico 2006 comes from Tuscany. It's plum coloured with an earthy, spicy nose with aromas of cherries and tobacco leaf. It's medium-bodied, dry and savoury with a minty cherry flavour. You'll find it a Vintages outlets for $17.95. Match it with tomato-based pasta dishes. That's Castelnuovo Berardenga Valiano Poggio Teo Chianti Classico 2006 from Italy. For Post City Magazines, I'm Tony Aspler, 680News and 680News.com. ($17.95, Vintages #250563)
