Pale straw colour with a vivid mousse; a nose of apples, freshly baked bread, chalk and minerals; full and dry on the palate, persistent lemony, green apple finish. (91+)

Lallier Grand Cru Grande Réserve Champagne

Old gold colour with a nose of brioche, honey and citrus fruit; medium-bodied, dry, elegant and well-balanced; great length with a green peach flavour. (90)

Nicolas Maillart Brut Premier Cru Champagne 2005

A well-priced, vintage-date champagne. Straw with a coppery tint; a nose of baked apple, toast, honey, butter and minerals. Full-bodied with great density and complex flavour spectrum; very elegant with a long, lingering finish. (91)
