Reichsgraf Von Kesselstatt Ockfener Bockstein Riesling Kabinett 2008
German wines can be a real mouthful in all senses – but don't be put off by the names. Currently at Vintages is a Riesling from the Mosel labelled Reichsgraf Von Kesselstatt Ockfener Bockstein Riesling Kabinett 2008. The flavour lasts longer on the palate than the name. The nose is all apricot and honey with floral note; it fairly dances on the palate, off-dry, light and elegant with spicy honey and citrus flavours. It costs $16.95 and it's an ideal summer aperitif. That's Reichsgraf Von Kesselstatt Ockfener Bockstein Riesling Kabinett 2008 from Germany at Vintages outlets. For Post City Magazines, I'm Tony Aspler, 680News and 680News.com ($16.95, Vintages #606202)

Trapiche Broquel Chardonnay 2010
If you're a Chardonnay fan and like your Chardonnay with lots of flavour and sensibly priced, try this one from Argentina – Trapiche Broquel Chardonnay 2010. It costs $13.95 a bottle at the LCBO. The nose is buttered popcorn and the taste is spicy oak and pineapple with a lively spine of acidity that gives the wine a mouth-freshening finish. Try it with roast chicken or pork chops. That's Trapiche Broquel Chardonnay 2010 from Argentina. For Post City Magazines, I'm Tony Aspler, 680News and 680News.com. ($13.95, LCBO #270231)
