Tasting: Bouchard Père et Fils 1999 Burgundies (all domaine wines except where noted) (May 9, 2001)

Overall, the reds in '99 were characterised by their deep colour, high extraction and generally round, supple tannins. There is a suggestion of New World influence in the forward fruit of these wines. The price quoted is in Canadian dollars. The wines are available through The Russell Woodman Agency in Toronto, (416) 767-5114; email: woodmanwine@sprint.ca.
