Kawarthas Flavour Festival
The Flavour Festival is a weekend-long event celebrating global wine and the local food of Northumberland County and the Kawarthas. The festival runs from Friday, April 26, 2013, to Sunday, April 28, 2013, offering weekend culinary accommodation packages with food and wine pairing dinners, interactive cheese-making and a Sunday culinary festival.
On Sunday, upscale adventurers can enjoy hors d'oeuvre-sized gourmet fare, international and domestic wines, local beers and spirits. Food vendors include dairies, cheese factories, gourmet culinary boutiques, cheese shops, food producers, farmers, chefs, and caterers. Our upscale adventurers can also take part in free wine seminars or learn to cook at the free food demonstrations lead by the culinary students of Fleming College Culinary Program. Or they can relax and listen to our local classical pianist Bruce Lawrence or enjoy art by renowned local artist James Ridyard.
