New Vintage Niagara

This year's New Vintage Niagara Festival, June 14–22, 2003, is set to be a true discovery of the senses.

The journey begins on Saturday, June 14, from 5 pm to 8 pm in the heart of Wine Country with the newest addition to the 8th Annual New Vintage Festival during the Dairy Farmers of Canada's "Spring Garden Party." Visitors to Niagara Under Glass embark on an adventure guaranteed to stir one's thoughts and palates, with over 30 of Ontario's award-winning wineries pouring their best selling wines, all paired with the best in Canadian cheeses. Take a tour of the Horticultural Discovery Centre, sample some wine and cheese, and enjoy a barbecue, all for $45 per person.

But the path to discovery doesn't end there. Building on the success of last year's festival, the New Vintage Winery Touring Passport has been expanded to nine days of tastings, tours, seminars and many other special events focused on the newly released wines, June 14 to 22. A $15 Passport will be your key to experience the first public samplings of 2002's Vintage of Excellence at the various participating wineries along Niagara's renowned wine route.

All this is just a prelude to the big event. Be there on Saturday, June 21 as more than 35 acclaimed wineries gather to uncork the first taste of their previous year's harvest. The TD Bank Financial Group's "New Vintage Niagara" Wine Tasting Gala will take place at the St. Catharines Golf & Country Club from 8 pm to 11 pm. Your $79 ticket will allow you to be among the first to experience and savour a taste of Ontario's 2002 Vintage of Excellence while enjoying Niagara's distinguished entertainment and cuisine.

The 2003 New Vintage Niagara Festival will be a true demonstration of all that this great region has to offer.

For further information on the "New Vintage" programs, please contact the Festival office at 905-688-0212 or visit the website at www.grapeandwine.com to order event tickets.
