Flat Rock Cellars Good Kharma Chardonnay 2010
Flat Rock Cellars is donating a portion of sales of their newly released Good Kharma Chardonnay 2010 to Ontario's Food Banks. For $16.95 from Vintages stores you get a straw-coloured wine with a rich nose of peaches backed by spicy oak. It's full-bodied, mouth-filling with sweet peach and tropical fruit flavours and a spicy finish. Try it with crab cakes or grilled fish. That's Flat Rock Cellars Good Kharma Chardonnay 2010 from Ontario. For Post City Magazines, I'm Tony Aspler, 680News and 680News.com. ($16.95, Vintages #356873)

Tenuta S. Anna Cabernet Franc 2011
The Cabernet Franc grapes that grows so well in Ontario also seems to thrive in Italy's Veneto region. An example is Tenuta S. Anna Cabernet Franc 2011. The wine has a smoky, red berry nose and a dry, floral, cherry flavour, well-structured and medium-bodied with a firm finish. It costs $13.95 at the LCBO. Match it with beef dishes or grilled eggplant. That's Tenuta S. Anna Cabernet Franc 2011 from Italy. For Post City Magazines, I'm Tony Aspler, 680News and 680News.com. ($13.95; $12.95 until october 13, 2013; LCBO #338368)
