Alvaro Palacios Camins del Priorat 2011 (Priorat, Spain)

A blend of Garnacha, Cariñena, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. The wine is dense ruby in colour with a nose of black fruits, leather, spice, iodine and a floral top note. It's full-bodied and dry with ripe plum and black cherry flavours and a lively spine of acidity. ***** (91)

MacMurray Ranch Chardonnay 2011 (California)

The late Hollywood actor Fred MacMurray once owned a ranch in the Russian River Valley. This Chardonnay is light straw colour; with smoky, nutty, toasty bouquet. On the palate, it's spicy, rich and sweet with a peachy, toasty note; full-bodied and lingering. ***** (90)
