Union Wines Rosé 2013
With the rosé season in full swing, here's a Niagara pink that fills the bill very nicely. Union Rosé 2013 is a blend of Merlot, Gamay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc.  Coral pink in colour with a nose of candied raspberry it's medium-bodied and dry with flavours of watermelon and cranberry finishing with citrus acidity. It costs $13.95 and is a perfect match for charcuterie or cold cuts. That's Union Rosé 2013 from Ontario. For Post City Magazines, I'm Tony Aspler, 680News and 680 News.com. ($13.95, LCBO #275685)

Bridlewood Pinot Noir 2012
Here's a well-priced Pinot Noir from California's Monterey County currently at Vintages stores – Bridlewood Pinot Noir 2012. It's deep plum in colour with a nose of violets, cherries and pencil lead; medium-bodied and dry, the palate offers rich flavours of black cherry with toasty oak. It costs $19.95 at Vintages outlets. Serve it with duck breast or lamb cutlets. That's Bridlewood Pinot Noir 2012 from California. For Post City Magazines, I'm Tony Aspler, 680News and 680News.com. ($19.95, Vintages #361824)
