  • Fuzion Shiraz Malbec

Muga Rioja Rosé 2014 (Spain)
$13.95 (Vintages #603795)
One of the best rosés currently on the market. It's a blend of three classic Spanish varieties, Tempranillo, Garnacha and the white, Viura. Pale salmon in colour, it has a cherry and cherry pit nose, beautifully perfumed, dry and easy drinking. ****½ (89)
Food match: seafood salads; cold chicken

Louis Bernard Cotes-du-Rhone Villages 2013 (Rhone)
$14.95 (LCBO #391458)
Deep ruby in colour with a minerally nose of raspberry and pencil lead. It tastes like a Beaujolais on steroids, firm and earthy, with spicy red berry fruit. **** (88)
Food match: roast turkey or a runny cheese

Fuzion Shiraz Malbec (Argentina)
$15.45 (LCBO #401323)
From the initial offering in 2006 the quality of this bargain wine fell off a bit but now it's is back on form and a real bargain in the 1500 mL format. Deeply coloured with a nose of black cherries and raspberries, fruity but firm and gulpable. ****(87)
Food match: red meat dishes; ribs
