Rockway Vineyards Small Lot Block 150-183 Riesling 2013 (Twenty Mile Bench, Niagara Peninsula)
$19.95 (Vintages # 424176)
Don't be fooled by the very pale, almost water white colour. This wine has loads of flavour. Petrol, lime and honey on the nose; light-bodied and crisply dry on the finish. Well-made and clean as a whistle. ***** (90)
Food match: blackened scallops; light curry dishes

Clos de L'Epinay Cuvée Marcus Vouvray 2012 (Loire)
$20.95 (Vintages # 408252)
Very pale colour; honey, quince nose with just enough barrel influence to broaden the bouquet. Full-bodied, off-dry, honeyed pear flavour with a clean, long finish. ***** (90)
Food match: rillettes; trout in cream sauce

Château de Panigon 2011 (Bordeaux)
$18.95 (Vintages # 230367)
A Cru Bourgeois from the Médoc. Seep ruby colour with the classic claret nose of cedar, currants with a floral note. Medium-bodied, dry, fresh and lively with a firm tannic structure. ****1/2 (89)
Food match: lamb chops; roast beef.
