Strewn Two Vines Riesling Gewurztraminer 2013
Today's recommendation is a bargain-priced white blend from Ontario that's perfect for Asian cuisine. Strewn Two Vines Riesling Gewurztraminer 2013 is straw-yellow in colour with a bouquet of lychee and grapefruit. It's off-dry, perfumed with rose petal, grapefruit and lychee flavours; surprisingly elegant and seamless with good length. Originally priced at $11.95 at the LCBO, it's a Limited Time Offer at $10.95 until October 11th. That's Strewn Two Vines Riesling Gewurztraminer 2013 from Ontario. Cape Barren Native Goose Grenache/Shiraz/Mourvèdre 2012
G.S.M. is an acronym the Australians use for a blend of the Rhône varieties Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Cape Barren Native Goose Grenache/Shiraz/Mourvèdre 2012 is deep ruby colour with a nose of blackberry and raspberry with a hint of oak. The wine is dry, full-bodied, fresh and fruity with a lively spine of acidity and good length. It costs $19.95 at Vintages outlets. Match it with lamb chops or steak. That's Cape Barren Native Goose Grenache/Shiraz/Mourvèdre 2012 from Australia. For Post City Magazines, I'm Tony Aspler, 680 NEWS. ($19.95, Vintages #425850)
