Foss Marai Prosecco Extra Dry
Nothing suggests a holiday like sparkling wine and it doesn't have to be expensive. I recently tasted a Prosecco from Veneto that caught my attention: Foss Marai Prosecco Extra Dry offers a creamy, minerally, apple and pear nose; it's medium-bodied, on the dry side, but not too dry, with good persistence on the palate. It costs $19.95 at Vintages outlets and works well as an aperitif wine or with poached fish. That's Foss Marai Prosecco Extra Dry from Italy at Vintages outlets. For Post City Magazines, I'm Tony Aspler, 680 NEWS. May I wish you all an amazing holiday. ($19.95. Vintages #729392)

Beringer Founder's Estate Chardonnay 2013
Here's a wine to serve with leftover turkey if you're getting bored with the bird: Beringer Founder's Estate Chardonnay 2013 from Napa Valley. Pale straw in colour with a buttery, sweet apple nose, the wine is enhanced by a light oak spicing; medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has an apple flavour and a touch of oak on the finish. A well-made wine for the price of $16.95 and available at LCBO outlets. It's also good with pork and apple sauce. That's Beringer Founder's Estate Chardonnay 2013 from California. For Post City Magazines, I'm Tony Aspler, 680 News. May I wish you and your family a safe and happy holiday. ($16.95, LCBO #534230)
