If you want to pretend it's still summer, this is a great patio wine. Pale straw in colour with an aromatic nose reminiscent of dry Muscat – orange, carnation and spice (cardamom). Medium-bodied and fresh. Easy drinking. Great value ***˝ (out of *****)

Henry of Pelham Cabernet-Baco 2002 (Ontario)

Ruby colour with a nose of leather and red berries; medium-bodied with a floral-fruity flavour of blackcurrants and pencil lead. A hint of oak on the mid-palate. Clean finish. ***˝
Food match: lamb kebabs, meatloaf

Henry of Pelham Chardonnay Reserve 2002 (Ontario)

Pale straw colour with a complex nose of buttermilk, pineapple and citrus fruits; medium-bodied but fills the palate with lively tropical fruit and citrus flavours. Good length with a warm alcoholic finish. Good value. ****
