KWV Cathedral Cellar Blanc de Blanc Brut 2010
If you like sparkling wine in champagne style then don't miss this terrific bubbly from South Africa at a bargain price: KWV Cathedral Cellar Blanc de Blanc Brut 2010. Golden straw in colour, it offers a toasty, smoky nose of brioche and honey; it's dry, medium-bodied but rich and full on the palate with a toasty, nutty, apple and honey flavour with fresh lemony acidity. This is the way to marry off a daughter in style at $16.95 a bottle. That's KWV Cathedral Cellar Blanc de Blanc Brut 2010 from South Africa at Vintages stores. For Post City Magazines, I'm Tony Aspler, 680 NEWS. (Vintages #462762, $16.95)

Wither Hills Sauvignon Blanc 2015
The Marlborough region in New Zealand produces delicious Sauvignon Blanc. Currently at Vintages is a prime example – Wither Hills Sauvignon Blanc 2015. It's very pale in colour but don't let that fool you – this wine has lots of flavour. It's got a grassy nose of green plum and grapefruit zest; it's medium-bodied, dry with gooseberry and elderberry flavours that last on the palate for an unconscionable time. It costs $19.95 a bottle. Serve it with seafood or goat's cheese dishes. That's Wither Hills Sauvignon Blanc 2015 from New Zealand at Vintages outlets. For Post City Magazines, I'm Tony Aspler, 680 NEWS. ($19.95, Vintages #919514)
