Mount Brown Estates Pinot Gris 2015 (Waipara, New Zealand)
$19.95 (Vintages #466037)
Now here is a Pinot Gris with real flavour! Medium straw in colour with a minerally, peach and lemon zest nose; you experience richly extracted peach and pear flavours on the palate with great length on the finish. ****½ (89)
Food match: tuna steaks; roast chicken

Catena Chardonnay 2015 (Mendoza, Argentina)
$19.95 (Vintages #918805)
Golden straw in colour with a spicy, vanilla oak, pineapple and mango nose; full-bodied, richly extracted green pineapple flavour with nicely integrated oak and a long, lingering finish. ****½ (89)
Food match: grilled salmon; mature camembert

Château La Rose Perrière 2008 (Lussac-Saint-Émilion)
$29.95 (Vintages #461590)
An aged claret with some years to go. Dense purple-black in colour with a cedary nose of blackcurrant, plum and vanilla oak; medium-bodied, dry, savoury, blackcurrant and dark chocolate flavours, firmly structured; lovely mouth-feel with a floral lift on the finish. Can be held for 5–10 years. ***** (90)
