This barrel-fermented Chardonnay is consistently one of Ontario's best in its price range. Straw colour with a ripe pear nose; full-bodied with sweet pear and apple flavours; the spiciness of the oak comes through on the mid-palate to a nutty finish. Willow Springs Baco Noir 2001 (York Region, Ontario)

This wine was grown in Stouffville, where Mario and Julie Testa farm an 11-acre vineyard. Ruby coloured with a sour cherry nose; medium-to-light-bodied with a sour cherry-cranberry flavour, lively acidity. ***

A simple white Burgundy for everyday drinking at an affordable price. Medium straw colour with a minerally, apple and pear skin nose; medium-bodied, crisp, dry and food friendly. ***½
