André Blanck & Fils Altenburg Gewurztraminer 2015 (Alsace)
If you're a Gewurztraminer fan, don't miss this one: André Blanck & Fils Altenburg Gewurztraminer 2015 from Alsace. Golden straw in colour with a spicy, lychee and rose petal nose, it's medium to full-bodied, off-dry, with sweetish melon and lychee flavours and lively, balancing acidity. It costs $19.95 at Vintages and is perfect for Asian cuisine or smoked salmon. André Blanck & Fils Altenburg Gewurztraminer 2015 from France at Vintages outlets. For Post City Magazines, I'm Tony Aspler, 680 NEWS. ($19.95, Vintages #168906) (90)

Maycas de Limari Reserve Especial Pinot Noir 2014)
One of my best buys this month is a Pinot Noir from Chile: Maycas de Limari Reserve Especial Pinot Noir 2014 currently at Vintages outlets and selling for $19.95 a bottle. The wine is deep ruby in colour with smoky, spicy, toasty nose of black cherries with a funky note. It's medium-bodied, dry and fruity, well-structured with ripe tannins and a lively spine of acidity. Serve it with duck breast or grilled salmon (yes, it works with salmon). That's Maycas de Limari Reserve Especial Pinot Noir 2014 from Chile. For Post City Magazines, I'm Tony Aspler, 680 NEWS. ($19.95, Vintages #469213)
