Winemaker Jean-Pierre Colas' experience making wines in Chablis comes through in this unoaked Chardonnay. Pale straw in colour with a funky Burgundian nose, minerally and apple-pear aromas; medium-bodied, mid-weight with fresh citrus and apple flavours and good, lingering acidity. ****

Food match: spaghetti bolognese, chicken paprika

Chateau des Charmes Aligoté 2002 (Niagara Peninsula)
