The 6th Montréal Wine and Spirits Show will be held from April 22 to 25, 2004, at Palais des Congrès de Montréal. This grand public event, the largest of its kind in Canada, is presented by the Association québécoise des agences de vins, bières et spiritueux (AQAVBS) and major partner Société des alcools du Québec (SAQ).

A rendez-vous par excellence for individuals on a Bacchic discovery quest, the Montréal Wine and Spirits Show will welcome all manner of wine enthusiasts from novice to seasoned professionals. This year, the show will innovate by offering restaurateurs and hoteliers a forum conducive to exchange among industry professionals in the morning from 10:00 to 13:00 on April 22 and 23.

A highly anticipated event
Over the years, the Montréal Wine and Spirits Show has become the most highly anticipated event by connoisseurs and new initiates alike. Organizers estimate an attendance figure of some 20,000 for the 2004 show. The great popularity of this internationally renowned event owes not only to the show's remarkable quality but also to renewed public interest in wine and spirits.

An exceptional vintage!
The Montréal Wine and Spirits Show 2004 will showcase the major wine producing regions of the world. In an exhibition hall measuring 9000 m² in area, some 250 producers and distillers from 30 countries will present more than 2400 products, 600 of which will be offered exclusively at the show, including a host of essential wine tasting and storage accessories.

Visitors will have the opportunity to discover and taste unique products, make privileged contact with producers, attend free conferences and wine tastings, take part in any number of activities designed to enhance their knowledge of the fascinating world of wine and spirits, and procure rare, highly coveted vintages for their personal wine cellars.

New! Designated time slots for liquor licensees
Licensed hoteliers and restaurateurs will enjoy the opportunity to meet and exchange with exhibitors and producers in a professional environment from 10:00 to 13:00 on April 22 and 23.

Tasting galore
An INAO-type tasting glass will be offered all visitors as they enter the exhibition hall to enable them to appreciate fully the wines and spirits sampled during the event. Only individuals aged 18 years and over may attend the show. The cost of admission is $15 and includes both a tasting glass and official event guide. The cost of tastings varies in accordance with product offering.

A word about AQAVBS
Founded in 1969, the Association québécoise des agences de vins, bières et spiritueux (AQAVBS) is a non-profit organization comprising 70 agent members representing suppliers from producing countries around the world. In addition to the services offered members, AQAVBS organizes the Montréal Wine and Spirits Show in partnership with Société des alcools du Québec.
