COC 5th Annual Fine Wine Auction

Dominion Ballroom, Sheraton Centre
Reception and Silent Auction at 6 pm and Live Auction at 7 pm
Tickets are $50
Call 416-306-2398 for more information

New and established wine collectors can look forward to the Canadian Opera Company's 5th Annual Fine Wine Auction on Wednesday, March 3, 2004, at 6 pm in the Dominion Ballroom at the Sheraton Centre. Auctioneer Stephen Ranger, of Ritchie's Auctioneers and Appraisers, returns to lead the live auction, encouraging wine lovers to either capture rare gems for their collection or get their wine cellar off the ground. Ken Lewis of KDL Food and Beverage acts as the wine auction's appraiser.

In addition, there will be a silent auction featuring many "must have" items. Past wine auctions have offered such finds as a Chateau Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande 1982 (valued at $1,000), a Domaine de la Romanée Conti 1994 La Tache (valued at $800/bottle) and a 220-bottle wine keeper from Rosehill Cellars (valued at $1700). Notable contributions this year include gift certificates from some of Toronto's hottest restaurants, including Mark McEwan's ByMark and North 44 and Massimo Capra's Mistura.

Tickets are $50 and may be purchased by calling 416-306-2398. All proceeds raised at the wine auction are in support of the Canadian Opera Company.
