Domaine Allimant-Laugner Riesling 2014
Rieslings from Alsace are versatile food wines. Currently at Vintages is Domaine Allimant-Laugner Riesling 2014. Medium straw in colour, this flavourful Riesling is medium straw in colour with a creamy, spicy nose of grapefruit with a thread of minerality. Medium-bodied and off-dry, imagine a grapefruit with honey instead of sugar. The balance between sweetness and acidity is perfect and the length is great too. It costs $18.95. Serve it with Asian dishes or apple desserts. That's Domaine Allimant-Laugner Riesling 2014 from France at Vintages outlets. For Post City Magazines, I'm Tony Aspler, 680 NEWS. ($18.95, Vintages #469726) (89)

Livia Feteasca Regala 2014
Feteasca Regala is a Romanian grape variety that I had the pleasure of tasting for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Newly released at Vintages outlets is Livia Feteasca Regala 2014. Pale lemon in colour, the wine has an earthy, apple purée nose with a pine needle note. It's medium-bodied, dry with a peachy-pineapple flavour and lively acidity. It costs an affordable $13.95 a bottle. Serve it with runny cheeses or Caesar salad. That's Livia Feteasca Regala 2014 from Romania. For Post City Magazines, I'm Tony Aspler, 680 NEWS. ($13.95, Vintages #477406) (88)
