Loukatos Bros Mavrodaphne of Patras 2015 (Greece)

For sweet wine lovers. Deep ruby-purple colour with a mature rim; cedary, plum bouquet; full-bodied, sweet plum jam flavour with spicy oak notes and balancing acidity. Great value. ***** (90)

Janare Falanghina del Sannio 2016 (Campania, Italy)
($16.95, Vintages #387647)
Straw colour with a green tint; spicy, starfruit and Asian pear nose; medium-bodied, dry, richly extracted fruit, well-balanced with a long finish. **** (88.5)
Food match: artichoke hearts; goat's cheese

Château Plaisance 2011 (Bordeaux)

A tasty claret at a great price. Dense purple colour; cedary, toasty, blackcurrant bouquet; medium-bodied, dry, lovely mouth-feel with cherry and plum flavours, ripe tannins, well-balanced and ready for drinking. ***** (90)
