Cantina Tollo Colle Secco Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2014 (Italy)

Deep purple-ruby in colour with a spicy plum and tobacco nose and a light floral note; medium-bodied, dry, fruity, plum and cherry flavours with fresh acidity, ripe tannins and a note of old wood on the firm finish. (88.5)

Bouchard Père & Fils Maçon Lugny 2015 (Burgundy)

Yellow straw in colour with a nose of hay, apple, light floral tone and a mineral note; medium-bodied, rich and ripe, pineapple and apple flavours with a touch of sweetness from a warm vintage. Full on the palate. (89)

Tocado Garnacha 2015 (Spain)

One of the best bargains at the LCBO at the moment is this juicy red from Campo de Borja in Spain. Deep ruby in colour, it has a spicy-cedary, black raspberry nose; medium-bodied and dry with a floral note, it's inky and fruity on the palate with a firm tannic finish. (88)
