'Tis Time to Taste the Season in Niagara-on-the-Lake

Wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake host the 4th annual "Taste the Season" with two new wineries and a palatable program of culinary delights

Celebrate the marriage of food and wine during the 4th Annual Taste the Season at the wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Purchase a $30 passport for the weekend of November 13/14 or 20/21 and delight in expertly paired food delicacies and sample VQA wines at 16 wineries, all within a 10-minute drive of each other. Stop by the Chamber of Commerce at the end of your trip and pick up a keepsake hand-blown glass ornament. Proceeds support Second Harvest and its programs to help feed those who would otherwise go hungry.

Don't wait to buy tickets! Taste the Season sold out last year and we don't want visitors to be disappointed. Passports are available by calling Second Harvest at 416-408-2594, online at www.niagaraonthelake.com and at the 16 participating wineries.

Each winery presents a different tasting experience. Discover Coyote's Run, Niagara-on-the-Lake's newest winery, while indulging in their Pinot Noir and Wild Game Sausage. Sample Niagara's celebrated Icewine at Peller Estates along with Icewine Marinated Venison Loin and Preserved Apple Chutney. Relish Konzelmann's Reisling with their Mediterranean Artichoke Frittata and Strewn's Cabernet Sauvignon with a Savoury Cheese and Walnut Biscuit.

Savour the flavour of the weekend passport and take both days to indulge in Taste the Season's touring program. Niagara-on-the-Lake is a weekend destination. Bring family and friends and discover all of the town's delectable treats. Choose from a feast of theatrical performances at the Shaw Festival or revel in Queen Street's variety of shops and cafes. Preserve the experience by stocking the cellar with Niagara wines and holiday gift selections.

The 16 participating Wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake are:

  • Château des Charmes
  • Coyote's Run
