Talking Wine Evolution 2005: Speaking About Tomorrow's Trends Today
Twenty wine experts discuss corporate consolidation, "glocalisation"
and emerging country markets
Skalli & Rein proudly announces that over twenty top wine industry
leaders from twelve countries will present current industry trends to
the 300 executive attendees (including Champagne Director of LVMH, Vice
President of Kobrand, President of Gosset, Export Manager of Tyrell's
Wine...) at the 6th bilingual Wine Evolution: Global Sales & Marketing
Forum in Paris, 31 January & 1 February 2005.
Wine Evolution 2005 is set to be the biggest and most internationally
diverse edition to date. This year's speakers include leading managers
from top companies such as Constellation's Christopher Carson, Western
Wines-Vincor's Mike Paul & Brown-Forman's David Cox. Representing
the high-end international exporters, featuring speakers like Douglas
Murray from Montes SA, Pierre-Henry Gagey from Louis Jadot & Bernd
Halbach International Director of Freixenet SA.
This year's importers include a Scandinavian market specialist and Shanghai-based
Summergate International which imports key brands, such as Duboeuf into
Asia. Speakers also include Juanita Duggan, a representative from Rabobank
and a strong press panel ranging from the Singapore-based Wine Review
to the Italian Il Corriere Vinicolo. Wilhelm Lerner from Arthur D. Little
and Marian Kopp from Racke International will represent the German market
forum. WE2005 marks the return of Marc Engel, who will continue the popular
"Two Buck Chuck" debate.
The main topics for discussion will focus on corporate consolidation
& develop the argument for the ever present need to sell local products
globally. Speakers will also discuss and define the "grey area"
between the boutique wineries and multinational companies, how best to
respond to the Euro/Dollar exchange rate and highlight market opportunities
in South East Asia and Eastern Europe.
Due to increased demand, the 6th annual Wine Evolution will be held at
the prestigious Palais des Congrès in Paris. To ensure that Wine
Evolution 2005 is the finest vintage yet, the best partners in the business
have been sought: Harpers, Just-Drinks, Guia Penin, Wine Business Insider,
Wein+Markt, RVI, Wine Institute of California, CIVB, Wines of South Africa,
Sopexa, Saint-Gobain, Lamothe-Abiet, SupremeCorq, Federacion Espagnola
del Vino, Rabobank, Amorim to name just a few. Wine Evolution also works
in collaboration with Air France and Hôtel Concorde La Fayette (located
