 WHAT'S NEW

More What's New

Top Picks from Vintages' May 28th release

Georges Duboeuf Pouilly-Fuissé 2003 (Burgundy)
$26.95
This super-ripe vintage has produced Burgundian wines more in New world style. This Pouilly-Fuissé could have come from California. Straw coloured with an earthy, pineapple and minerally nose; full-bodied, fat mid palate, soft mouth feel with a sweet tropical fruit and toast flavour. ****½

Château Cesseras 2001 (Midi)
$18.95
This Minervois wine is a terrific bargain. Dense purple colour; Concentrated nose of blackberry, peppercorns and herby spices; full-bodied and rich with sweet, spicy fruit and a medicinal note; firm finish. *****

Antinori Cervaro della Sala 2002 (Umbria)
$53.95
Vintage after vintage, this wine never fails to please. A blend of Chardonnay with Grechetto it comes on like a fine white Burgundy. Straw coloured, touch of barnyard, toast and spice on the nose; medium-full-bodied, elegant and classic long lines to a lingering finish. Could be mistaken for a Meursault. *****
