2nd Annual Niagara Wine Options Competition

It is that time again to roll up our sleeves and drink wine at the Niagara Annual Wine Options Competition. For the people who did not attend the 2004 event, it is structured as follows:

  • Teams of 4 people
  • Wines are served blind and a series of questions is asked on each wine, 4 white wines and 4 red wines, served and scored individually
  • Each question is given a score and a running total is kept throughout the evening
  • Each team is to have a Team Name and Team Captain – prizes will be given for best team name
  • Each team is encouraged to "dress up," and prizes will be given for best team costume – this helps keep the evening fun
  • The winning team name will be engraved on the "Niagara Wine Options Cup" and will bathe in glory for a full year – last year's winners were the Canadian Olympic Drinking Team

As indicated last year, this is a very popular event and strictly limited to 15 teams, so please get your team entered as soon as possible.
