  • Peter Lehmann Barossa Shiraz Grenache 2003
  • Fonseca Tawny Port

Simonsig Chenin Blanc 2004 (South Africa)
$9.95 (General list)
This is a great candidate for a house wine. Pale straw colour; grassy, peach nose; medium-bodied with a touch of sweetness – peach, kiwi and gooseberries flavours with fine balancing acidity. Great value. ****
Food match: pork loin; roast chicken

Peter Lehmann Barossa Shiraz Grenache 2003 (Australia)
$14.95 (General list)
An interesting blend at a bargain price. Deep ruby-purple colour; minerally, raspberry nose; medium—full-bodied, sweet raspberry with a peppery note, lively acidic spine. Easy drinking. ***½
Food match: BBQ ribs; pepper steak

Fonseca Tawny Port (Portugal)
$14.45 (General list)
Best bargain in port. Mature ruby colour; mulberry and nuts on the nose; full on the palate, initially sweet but finishes dry; firmly structured with good persistence. ****
Food match: chocolate pudding; blue cheeses
