Australian Wine Experience in Toronto

The premier Australian wine showcase, Australian Wine Experience, returns to Toronto September 27th, becoming the third stop of the national tour following sell out events in Ottawa on September 20th, and in Montreal on September 22nd. The tour ends in Vancouver on October 4th.

The National Trade Centre at Exhibition place is the scene for the largest-ever Australian wine showcase in Toronto to date – the bright, modern and expansive site is well suited to accommodate more than 300 unique wines and varieties. The menu, designed to complement the superb selection of drops from Down Under, are being prepared by Australian John Ward of Toronto's own Avocado Group and promises some enticing selections to enrich the Australian Wine Experience.

The Toronto Fair will debut an exciting range of wines on three designed Focus Tables: Classics, Brand Champions and Generation Next. An afternoon trade seminar, "How to build a great Australian wine list," will be aimed at the restaurant trade.

Consumers will enjoy signing up for "wine picks from the pro" in one of two 30 minute sit-down seminars hosted by wine guru David Lawrason, yet another new component at this year's fair.

The event takes place on Tuesday, September 27th, 2005, from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm, with a trade-only session earlier in the day. There will be a Silent Auction hosted by the Australian Wine Society of Toronto with some fabulous items for the bidding. Adding to the excitement is an opportunity to enter to win a trip for 2 to Australia!

This fall's Australian Wine Experience will be a hot ticket – and admission is limited and by invitation only. Personal invitations for the evening can be secured by visiting our website at www.australianwineexperience.com. With your invitation in hand, tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster at 416-870-8000 or 1-800-461-3333 or at www.ticketmaster.ca. All proceeds will go to support the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
