Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada First Annual Wine & Food Fundraising Event

Sunday, October 2, 2005

On behalf of the National Capital Region Chapter of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada (CCFC), we would like to invite you to our First Annual Wine & Food Fundraising Event. It is taking place on Sunday, October 2, 2005 at The Courtyard Restaurant, located in Ottawa's Byward Market.

In conjunction with Groovy Grapes, a local business that puts a fun spin on traditional wine events for the modern wine drinker and the non-wine drinker alike, we will be running a Walkabout Wine & Food Tour™ and a Talking Wine Bar™. Guests will receive a Walkabout Wine Tour Passport™ to guide them through the tasting of a variety of wines paired with an assortment of appetizers.

Rod Phillips, wine reviewer, writer and columnist for the Ottawa Citizen, will be the guest MC for the event, and Stacey Metulynsky, host of the new Food Network Canada wine and food series Wine and Dine, will be leading the Talking Wine Bar™.

A silent auction will also be featured.

All proceeds raised from this event will go directly to Crohn's and Colitis Research.

Tickets are $65 (includes wine & food samples); there are a limited number available. Doors open at 7 pm.

For more information or to purchase tickets, please contact Lynn Nowlan, lynowlan@rogers.com, 613-761-7302.

View a copy of the event poster (Acrobat PDF, 160 kB).
