Croft Indulgence Port (Portugal)
$16.75 (General list # 621904)
This ruby port was made to attract the women buyer. It's lighter and fruitier than most rubies with a soft, jammy mid-palate of raspberry and mulberry with a citric note. Very fresh and well made. ****
Food match: blue cheeses, chocolate

Angus The Bull Cabernet Sauvignon 2004 (Australia)
$17.95 (General list #602615)
This second vintage of this solid Aussie Cab is even more delicious than the first. Dense purple colour; sweet, minty black fruits on the nose with an oaky note; full-bodied, sweet, chunky blackberry and chocolate flavour with an engaging floral nuance; firm finish with lively acidity. ****
Food match: roast beef; marinated pork ribs

Henry of Pelham Cabernet-Baco 2004 (Ontario)
$9.95 (General list #252882)
This is a useful red at a good price. Ruby coloured with a nose of green tobacco leaf, it tastes of plum and cranberry with soft supple tannins; lively acidity, light-bodied; easy drinking. Good value. ***½
Food match: firm cheeses; beef stew
